Sew and Tell January 17th 2019

Just in time for these heatwave conditions (yes even here on the coast), Ally has completed her quilt of a wonderfully cool colour selection - and it is for herself which is even better after having made quilts for the grandchildren for Christmas (see an earlier post in December 2018).

A close up of Ally's cool disappearing nine-patch variation. Ally obviously loves Kaffe Fassett fabrics - don't we all.

Elaine has certainly mastered half square triangles as is evidenced in this lovely sailing ship quilt made for a great-grandson - lucky boy

A perfect choice of backing for Elaine's sailing ship quilt, further enhanced with a most appropriate quilting design by our own member Narelle, of Mystral Quilting Services, who is a professional long-arm quilter. Well done both of you.

Ashton is the grandson of our member Sheryl and he created his very own Christmas tree. No, it is not quilted, but made from used plastic spoons which he then painted - recycling at its best!
It is easy to see Ashton has inherited his Grandmother's genes.
